Illetas beach is very popular due to its close proximity to Palma. It has some good beach bars and restaurants, such as chic lounge bar and club, Virtual, set in a cave, just off the beach.
Magalluf
Magalluf has a wide sandy beach with clear waters that stretch
for 1.600km. There are numerous bars and restaurants along the promenade.
Watersports and boat trips are plentiful and you are never lost for something
to do. The beach has been awarded the blue flag for cleanliness on a number
of occasions including 2008.
Camp
de Mar
Camp de Mar is a small resort situated between Paguera and Andratx. Camp de Mar beach is a great place to spend the day and relax. It also has a fantastic fish restaurant situated on a island just off the shore. There is a wood bridge over to the island, so you don't have to swim.
Sa Platgeta de Portals Vells
Portals Vells is an unspoilt beach which is 60 m long and 70 m wide, with fine white sands. During the summer, especially at the weekends, it can get crowded. On the left of the beach there is a cave in the talus, where the image of a virgin appeared and remained until the 18th century; the image is thought to have come from a boat left it there in the 15th century after getting caught in a storm.
El Mago Beach
El Mago beach is a small, unspoilt small cove clos to Portals Vells. It is 28 m long and 20 m wide, with fine golden sands and very transparent waters. It is here that the film The Magus was shot in 1967, with popular film stars such as Anthony Quinn, Michael Caine and Candice Bergen. The remains of some of the buildings used for the filming are about 100 m to the left of the beach. There is a good sea food restaurant here; Bar Playa del Mago.
