On the coast side of the Bahia de Palma, the resort of Can Pastilla stretches inland almost to the airport. The resort is a mecca for families and the young at heart looking for a beach holiday, with plenty to do in the evenings. A promenade follows the shore, particularly enjoyable at night when the lights of Palma can be seen across the water. The beach is ideal for children, with clean white sand, shallow waters, sun umbrellas and...plenty of ice-creams!

Where to go:
Don't miss the beautiful glass church in Playa de Palma, or the pretty little marina in Can Pastilla itself. The train runs along the promenade and is a good way to get around the resort.

Beaches:
The resort has a fine, sandy beach, running all the way to S'Arenal, and you can choose from lots of different water sports. Playa de Palma has a beautifully clean white sandy beach, with plenty of water sports to keep you occupied and there is a lifeguard on duty every day. Carry on past C'an Pastilla and Playa de Palma, and you'll come to the beautiful unspoilt beach of Es Trenc- stick to the left-hand side of the beach if you want to keep your clothes on, as the other side is for nudists.

Entertainment:
On the busy promenade in Can Pastilla there is something for everyones taste. Typical wine restaurants like the Bodega of Olive (Calle Albatros, 11), speciality restaurants like the Rancho Picardo (Calle Flamengo, 1), jazz restaurants like the House of the Rising Sun, and some German taverns with the latest chart music.

Attractions:
Golf Fantasia in Playa de Palma offers 54 holes of crazy golf with a Jurassic Park theme, and there is a bar serving snacks all day. AquaCity on the outskirts of S'Arenal is the largest waterpark on the island, with some of the best slides in Europe.

Nightlife:
If you want to party the night away, you'll find several nightclubs in nearby Playa de Palma– but be warned, they're not cheap. There are loads of good, friendly bars in C'an Pastilla, though. The Sun Pub in Playa de Palma has a good menu (there’s a Sunday roast every day!), with quizzes and karaoke every night. It’s open from 10:00 until 04:00. Beachcombers is a friendly bar just off the promenade in S'Arenal, serving food all day into the early hours, it's open from 10:00 right through till 06:00.
